Research Survey: The use of smart contracts to streamline claims in South Africa: A case of the building insurance sector.

My name is Ayandiswa Khulani Msane, a Master’s student at Durban University of Technology, currently conducting research in the field of Quantity Surveying. This survey is part of my research titled: "The use of smart contracts to streamline claims in South Africa: A case of the building insurance sector."

The aim of this study is to investigate the use of smart contracts to streamline building insurance claims in South Africa. Building insurance plays a vital role in protecting structures from unexpected events. However, the claims process often faces challenges, such as delays, errors, and risks of fraud. This research seeks to explore how smart contracts can introduce efficiencies to resolve these issues.

By completing this short survey, which should take about 10 - 15 minutes, you will be contributing to a growing body of knowledge within the built environment sector. Your responses will help identify the challenges and potential solutions within the building insurance industry, providing insights that can lead to improvements in claims processing.

Your participation in this study is completely voluntary. There are no foreseeable risks associated with this research study.
